Sam can pick up on the feeling that Pidge doesn't want anyone in her head, but it's different than the sheer animosity from Parker or the layers of complication between him and Barnes. It's closer to the way he feels about new people, really, and that makes him keep on working to keep his mind clear, his emotions from getting too intense. ]
