Just as she might be a window, his feelings of rejection are hardly hidden from her. She thinks back to Ventress, back to how the Jedi had left her to the Republic's axe. Many things divided their beliefs, but they were all bound by one thread.
And its that thread that allows guilt for her snap reply to seep into her bones, and for her tone to warp into something almost apologetic.]
