As from the calendar:
Confetti! It's a parade! The annual Arista Parade, to be precise. Nominally a part of Aristana, the celebration of the ribbons of life, it's a holiday who's origins are nearly forgotten. Nowadays it's a big, raucous celebration pretty dedicated much entirely to drinking and partying. Almost all those in attendance will be wearing ribbons tied around their hair, their wrists, off of their belts and the edges of their sleeves. Pull one off, and you will be rewarded with a kiss - on the cheek, usually. The parade itself showcases a number of performers, costumes, and moving art pieces. It's route covers a number of the main streets of town (which will be closed, sorry traffic), and it lasts from dusk till nearly dawn on DAY :040. Have fun, if it's your kind of scene.
From the mods:
No notable NPCs are present at the parade - at least not in any official capacity. However if anyone wants to interact with a Concordian native, feel free to make up/interact with any randos you feel like!
Feel free to use this log for all of your parade day activities!

- But luckily it's not too long before they arrive. To a circle of people that are stationary and there's an attendant standing in the middle. She's holding a long staff, and is calling for volunteers for the competition. Nothing too serious, as it goes. People to participate in showing off their best tricks for the crowd's approval. The prize is just in the performance, really. Nothing serious to it.
Angel needles them to the front of the crowd, Lexa's hand still in her own and when they get to the front she turns to her. Cheeks still flushed with the speed that they had moved. ] You should enter.

It would be easier if there were a pointed edge. [To the staff. Her aim with spears is something she's confident in, and as her eyes move along the pole, she knows her limitations.
Still, she makes a decisive nod, understanding now why she's here.] You'll stay? [Angel seems likely to wander off, so it feels necessary to ask.]

[ She disentangles her hand then, only to give her an encouraging push to bring Lexa to the forefront of the volunteers. Eager, clapping along with the rest of the crowd and the music to go with it.
The competition is simple the attendant explains as a few others step forward as well, along with Lexa. One by one, they just have to perform a trick. Some display of skill and control: probably only impressive right now, given how much everyone is drinking. ]

People are impressed, but then, they were impressed by all of it, and Lexa's actions were undoubtedly combat-inclined. She doesn't win all of the audience's approval at the end, because someone had tossed their pole up into the air and caught it swiftly, but it doesn't matter. She's not here for parlor tricks, and at least enjoyed the heated physicality of it all.
When she steps down off the stage to return to Angel, there's a hint of color to her cheeks that shines through the (now fading) makeup.]
Perhaps if it were Bout-it-Out, people would be more impressed with me. [She's amused, not wounded. It was a fine experience.]
