[ Of all the things that Sam’s wings are good for, he probably never would have put “hanging up makeshift Christmas decorations on an alien ship in the middle of space” on the list.

Admittedly, he had thought about using them to put the star on the top of a tree once or twice, at the Avengers’ compound or even further, back when he and Riley would stay up talking about all of the things they’d do with the wings if they had them on leave, but even then it wasn’t high up there.

Now his red and gray metal wings are spread behind him, jets on the lowest power setting as he hovers in the hallway of the Station, hanging lights and garland and wreaths. He’s getting ready to drop back down to grab the next thing to hang when he sees someone walking by. ]

Hey, can you hand me that?

[ Sam wouldn’t say he’s used to trying to figure out how to cook with ingredients that aren’t much like the ones back home, but between the last two missions and some time on the Station, he’s starting to figure it out. And he’s real damn glad he thought of doing a grocery run and stocking up a little back when they were on Waypoint and this idea of a impromptu Christmas came up.

He’s highly likely either humming or singing as he moves about the food serving area, though he’ll stop briefly whenever he notices someone else there. ]

There’s cookies on the table if you want ‘em.

[ Most of the decorations are up, snacks and cookies and hot drinks have been made and are scattered on tables in the rec area. Now it’s just the tree left unadorned, and there’s piles of ornaments and lights and pieces of scrap that Sam’d found on Waypoint by it.

Sam can be found sorting through things to put on the tree, in the middle of decorating it, or even just sitting by it, flipping through a book or sipping on something warm.

He’ll look up from whatever he’s doing to give anyone who comes in a greeting. ]
