These are emotionally charged words chosen for a purpose, to convince another of her right to suffer, rather than to deny, deny, deny it as one sinks never to resurface. Maybe the admission of pain can be a form of bravery rather than cowardice, maybe to brandish one's wounds for the world to see can be a kind of selflessness, rather than egotism. ]
