[Bucky remembers the countless times that Sam has told him it's okay to not be okay. He remembers all the times they've fought here on the Station, how he himself refuses to talk for days. It's almost normal, in a way, for Bucky to be the one broken and defective while Sam encourages him to talk about his feelings, as if a Soldier born in the dark could ever truly have feelings.
The difference between those occasions and now is too striking to ignore.
