[A day after the new arrivals show up and before anyone has really had a chance to settle in, every member of the nest gets an Extranet message at the exact same time from an untraceable source. It doesn't show up in your inbox; instead it opens in another window - don’t mistake it for a pop-up because if you close it, then you won’t be able to respond in line. The chat window's cursor blinks at you as the words scroll across, line by line; the message is accompanied by an unblinking blue eyeball avatar:]

( My symbiote allows me to inspire fear in others. It has grow much more precise since the bombing. )

[ It had grown out of control in the wake of it all, her symbiote essentially screaming into the psychic space between them all. In a way, it had helped keep the unsuspecting away from Kylo Ren until he could be contained, a wall of terror that no one but the hosts wanted to breech. ]

( I am an efficient killer, but I am also... not unused to using my beauty and softness to put others at ease when otherwise they might react differently. It has been a useful knowledge, in pretending to be this songstress. )

[Not that Lexa hasn't fraternized with the enemy (or ... banged ... the enemy ... and fallen in love with her and so on and so forth), but using "wiles" is pretty outside her vocabulary in managing things. It's not that she's unaware of it, it's that her people almost always go about things a different way. They prefer brute force.]

( I would prefer to utilize your ability to inspire fear above the others. Are you comfortable with growing that power? ) [And what comes with it.]

[People act on fear during torture. Why torture someone physically when they have other tools to their disposal?]
