mental link: day 34

[ It is actually quite late when Ilde's soft voice moves through the hosts, her scent of smoke and earth. She is at a club somewhere deep in the city, dazzled by noise and light, something you are free to establish if you look for it. ]

( It has been suggested to me by a hacker named Y that I throw a concert to lure our bombers out again. )

[ This part is forthright, a statement of fact with no value attachment to it. ]

( I believe she is questioning who I really am. If I refuse this idea, I may encourage that. )

[ This may not be strictly true, but it is how Ilde has perceived their conversation. ]

( She seems to know something, but is it worth losing my guise? If not, how am I to refuse this suggestion and maintain it. I do not know if she is a part of the group who contacted us before. She may already know I am false and this is all a game. )

OOC: link & all threadjacking here very much encouraged!

[ If he was expecting a thanks, he doesn't seem annoyed at not receiving one. The matter at hand is more important, even if he's not as full of bright ideas as Ilde might've hoped. ]

Is it anything your symbiote abilities can handle? I'm not sure what you're working with, but... if it were me, I could use my voice to convince her to tell us.

Hm... I can convince her to tell us, but she'll probably be aware of what I'm doing. After we have what we need, I can destroy any memories of the encounter. It'll be tough, but... I'm sure I can do it without harming her any more than that. Would that work?

Bring me the next time you two meet, and I'll make sure no one's exposed.

[ Forcing their way through to get the information they need isn't taking the high road. Other hosts might object, but Aoba gets the sense that Ilde isn't one of those hosts. He remembers the first time he spoke to her, as she stood in the Avera rain holding the knife she looted.

He's still not for stealing off dead bodies, but stealing information from the living straight out of their brains? Ok sure, if it's for a good cause. Getting the mission done quickly without losing anyone else is good enough for him. ]
