( Sam and me did some more digging on Ngozi trying to work out her angle in all of this. Pretty sure we can rule her out as a secret H+H1 fanatic - whatever's making her act extra shifty seems like it started around the first bombing at the warehouse.

That's about when Ven started acting awfully cagey too. ) [ But they couldn't get past his security to find out what he was hiding thanks to the second bombing.

[ Muted, tired relief echoes back from Steve. Even within his own brood the opinions vary: Sam Anders has got a personal stake in this whole synthesis business, Ren's willing to do whatever he has to in order to impress Catheway and Ilde - she wants to make sure the brood succeeds. ]

( But people are getting killed over this argument, and if it's their own police force letting the culprits slide for some reason - we're already here, we oughta do what we can to help stop them. )

[ It's similar in Sam's own brood, really, even though Sam hasn't actually talked about his own opinions with any of them. But Steve's response, well. It's exactly that kind of attitude that'd been a big part of what drew Sam in in the first place, and there's a faint feeling of something between respect and affection across Sam's side of the connection. ]

( That's something worth fighting for, at least. Exposing potential corruption, saving lives, I can get behind that. If we can ever get a handle on what we're doing. )

[ His hand runs through his hair, a smile lifting at one side of his mouth. When it comes down to it, Steve doesn't need agreement or camaraderie to follow through on a decision.
