[ someone's up and awake again. Not so tired sounding, though. This time, she's remembered to go and eat before she reaches out to the rest of the hive. ]

( Is anyone in the Bearings that can give me an update on what I've... missed? As much detail as possible.

If it were safer, I might suggest we start keeping more accessible records for these... interludes. )

[ She's not fond of this not knowing everything all the time ever. Which on the note of: she sighs, little echoing tumbling thought that is edged with frustration. ]

( And... does anyone what kind of tricks lions should do? Are they meant to be predators? Are they meant to be tamed?

.... Actually, does anyone know what a lion is? I'm starting to realise I don't know very much about animals if they aren't trying to eat you. Which isn't particularly useful, right now. )

[ ... and for anyone looking for Angel, she will be with a strew of mechanical parts around her that is half in her room, half in the corridor for her shiny new, tackely bright gold performing robotic lion. ]

[ She's content, shockingly so. Her head settles against Ilde's thighs, hair sprawling out in inky tendrils. Sprawled and comfortable against her and - there's an audible sigh where her fingers find the point in her skull. Because... it's not a secret how much goes in her head, always churning, always pounding. The metal plates grate. Always in need of tune-ups, and the movement of the weather makes her head ache.

But Ilde's fingers ... relieve it. A shudder in her goes still, tamed animal in her lap. She has been awake for a little while, but she never really knows how to let go. But this - this she prickles and then the tension sinks out of her utterly. Makes her eyes close.

Takes her a second to respond. ]

I can tell. What else were you trying to share?

[ There is an ultimate goal: to inflict Dreus on all the other hosts so that they will understand why she views the way she does. But, that is a distant desire, something she would never attempt while they were in the middle of a mission. ]

One of the new hosts, Mara, has been training me. We sometimes try to sync physical movements with my powers.

[ Let her tell you how cool Mara is okay. ]

She is a very strong-willed woman, but warm. Not like Lexa or Parker.

[ Both of whom she hates. ]

[ She hums, softly, in contemplation as she does, and it's definitely, tricky when Ilde's got fingers on her skin. Turns her all sluggish and like she'd been told about her lion: lazy and full. ]

Like I do with Ren?

[ A sore spot in her ribs, still. ]

Does she have more patience? [ her own private jab, back. She never minded Lexa, not really, an ache of who she wants to be, but Parker -

Well. There's a dead man, and she considers it still to be Parker's fault, and her name spikes a simmer of agitation that she quickly suppresses. ]

[ Kylo motherfucking Ren. Ilde bristles, a flurry of emotions that encapsulate some miasma between anger and jealousy. Does not like the idea that Kylo Ren thinks he can mold her friend. They simmer together for a moment, but ultimately...

The soft bristle of shaved hair under her fingertips draws her back, continuing to massage the slow crescent behind Angel's ear. ]

In her way. She has lessons I am interested beyond the physical. She is very knowledgeable in this work of spying and pretending.

[ A thoughtful pause, wondering how to explain in words what she felt in Mara, and not wanting to turn towards the mental link lest she over-share something that was not hers to discuss. ]

There is a voice in her thoughts, like I have. [ The voice that haunted, that commanded, that controlled. ] An isolation, like we know.

[ She makes no mention of the ire she feels, this close it's impossible to not feel. Ren is... a means to an goal. She knows how to be around him, and he can stomach her power. That's as much as she needs to care, for the time being.

( There wasn't a question, between Ilde and Ren, not really ). ]

I think I talked to her. [ peaks, when Ilde mentions it. ] She told me I should try and work out how to set my lion on others.

[ she giggles, then sobers, though. ] She didn't understand about the vault hunters, though...

[ Her vault hunters, is the implication. They are precious to her, and the tone is fondness - and the contrast is there. She is never precious about anything from her home. ]

There may always be facets of our worlds the others cannot understand.

[ Not that this answer satisfied Ilde, else she wouldn't be practicing manifesting a Godking with her mind. There are some things she needs the other hosts to understand about her life. ]

But I admire her. [ A pause. ] Like no one else.

[ A role model is novel to her. ]

It's for the best that they don't, probably.

[ Which will be enough for Angel, really. She has taken up her new life here willingly, some confusion about different terms is - to be expected. ]

I'm glad, she seems easy to admire.

[ She reserves her own words for now, until she knows her a bit better. ]

There are similarities, and differences, like us. I feel like perhaps I have something to offer her, as much as she has to offer me.

[ And that's a good feeling. To not feel helpless, worthless, in the relationship. The mutuality is novel compared to the dominations of the Godking. ]

[ She looks up briefly, head tilting up, smiling into it and the good feeling. ] You have so much to offer, Ilde, if others don't see it...

[ she shrugs, it's useful to be underestimated, regardless. Their stupidity could be their undoing.

She disentangles then, a small noise like this is the hardest thing she's done, where she pulls herself away to sit up right. Now that she's mussed up Ilde's nice clean clothes, she looks back to her robot with a sigh. ] Probably should get back to work, huh?

[ A small flush, she hadn't meant it quite like that, but-- well. She wouldn't have said it that way if there wasn't a little piece that rung true. ]

Yes, please, I was enjoying watching you.

[ There is something to that - to being watched. She finds it so strange, so novel, and most of the time it makes her recoil from other people. The intimacy of being watched.

But Ilde... well, she was different. ]

Well, in that case... [ feels the colour in her cheek, the way her head ducks and her neck curves with the gesture. Jack never stayed to watch her, Jack never wanted to know what she was capable of, outside of what made him more powerful. That was always a snap of - Angel, Daddy's working! Don't waste my time! ]
