[ Pidge is a bit distracted. She's been working her job and trying to figure out how to find things and the combination has been a bit exhausting. Especially since she's tiny and some of the aliens she's had to try and deal with have been much, much larger. Still, she's found time to get away and despite the note of exhaustion, there's something triumphant in her mental tone. ]

( Hey, I found out where they're keeping the prizes! They've got it on some sort of ship, way out in the system, behind one of the moons- )

[ And here everyone is treated to a mental image of a sprawling, edge-master looking ship that's been finished rose gold chrome. Sort of a contradiction. ]

( It's called "The Fair Heart" and apparently it used to be some kind of prison ship. "Sorrowful Death Hole" or something. Uh, either way, it's where they're keeping the prizes until later in the competition.

I think we should go out there and grab them. )

[ A short burst of laughter. ]

( Not be caught. )

[ There's a ripple of irritation in response. ]

( What makes you think we're going to get caught? )

( I believe it is always a possibility. And the Station is one of us, it should be considered if it is exposed. )

[greentech]

( Sometimes you have to take risks. )

[erbier]

( Of course. Take care. )

[ She doesn't offer to help. ]

[greentech]

( Uh, you too? )

[wrackful]

( What she means is, unless you know how to get the station to do anything - which would mean you've seriously been holding out on us - maybe give Cathaway a head's up before you try whatever you're going to try. )

[A beat.]

( And the rest of us. The lines for shuttles out aren't exactly getting shorter. )

[greentech]

( I'm not stupid. I need to get a ship from Cathaway if I'm going to pull this off.

And this is a heads up! I can't do this by myself! )

[wrackful]

[A pause of surprise at the reaction, but it's brief. His manner doesn't change: dry, nonchalant, but it gains an edge of something unimpressed.]

( Are you always this touchy? Cause I'm pretty sure I didn't call you stupid. But we'll definitely be working towards it if you're going to ignore what I actually said. )

[greentech]

[ There's a ripple of irritation from Pidge, but she does her best to rein it in. Deep breath. ]

( Sorry. )

[ It's clipped, short, not all that apologetic sounding. ]

( I've got some 'paramilitary expert' yelling at me. I know I can't just run off and do this by myself and I figured everyone would kinda get that because I was asking for input. )

[It takes him less than a heartbeat to find the conflict she's referring to, like picking out threads in a tapestry, honing in on the one giving the right colour. He doesn't think about how easy it is. Instead there's a bloom of understanding, and something like solidarity. He likes Annie, but in the fight of grown ups vs kids, he'd always been on the latter side.]

( You know, I have a friend who's good at dealing with crap like that. )

[A flash of blonde hair, the edge of a stubborn frown.]

( She'd get the people she wanted together and go do whatever, save the day. Before the people who thought they were in charge could screw everything up. )

[greentech]

( As much as I'd like to do that, I don't think I could take on a whole prison ship by myself. I'd need at LEAST one more person. )

[ OK, that was kind of a joke. ]

( Who's your friend? Do they have a name? )

[wrackful]

( And there you go, proving the not stupid. )

[His amusement's dry, but not sharp.]

( Clarke. She's not here, before you get excited. She'd probably have everything moving already if she was. )

[Or have blown the Nest apart. 50/50.]

( Clarke. Sounds like I'd like her. )

[ Anyone who's willing to stand up to stupid people is OK in her book. ]

( I'm getting some volunteers. I just need to figure out how to actually hit it. )

[Does anyone really like Clarke? He doesn't know if he ever saw her stop doing the Save Everyone thing long enough for anyone to try. Not something to discuss now, though, so he just skips that part.]

( I'm signed up for the big show, so. ) [The impression of a mental shrug, though whether he'd actually volunteer if he was free is debatable. Willingly going into a prison ship (ex or not) doesn't really sound like his idea of a good time.]

( But if you want some advice, quietly's usually better, even if it isn't quicker. And just give the rest of us time to get out of here. Even if you don't get caught, they'll probably shut the whole place down as soon as they realise their fancy treasure's been stolen. )

( Good luck in the Arena. I know it's probably going to be pretty tough. )

[ Participating in that isn't her idea of fun, but she still hopes they'll pull out a win. In-group pride, if nothing else. ]

( And don't worry, I will. I plan on making sure everyone knows when we're leaving and what to potentially expect. )
