[ Pidge is a bit distracted. She's been working her job and trying to figure out how to find things and the combination has been a bit exhausting. Especially since she's tiny and some of the aliens she's had to try and deal with have been much, much larger. Still, she's found time to get away and despite the note of exhaustion, there's something triumphant in her mental tone. ]

( Hey, I found out where they're keeping the prizes! They've got it on some sort of ship, way out in the system, behind one of the moons- )

[ And here everyone is treated to a mental image of a sprawling, edge-master looking ship that's been finished rose gold chrome. Sort of a contradiction. ]

( It's called "The Fair Heart" and apparently it used to be some kind of prison ship. "Sorrowful Death Hole" or something. Uh, either way, it's where they're keeping the prizes until later in the competition.

I think we should go out there and grab them. )

(Technical support, huh? Sounds good to me, and if you need anything from the competitors, let us know. I don't know what, but we can try to figure something out if it's necessary.

Winning is the idea, at least.)

[He's not sure if he wants it to be combat or otherwise. It'd at least be familiar, if not utterly dangerous.]

( They have trackers or something on you guys, right? It might be a good idea to get a look at one of those. )

[An awkward response, but he only asks to avoid more awkwardness. But he supposes she wouldn't have offered both names unless if she had a preference -- ah, he's over-thinking it.]

(You plan on tinkering them? I think someone said earlier that it tracks our vitals, too.)

( Katie is fine. And yeah, I figure if I can get them to send false signals,
you guys will be able to move around without being tracked. )

(Seems like a moot point during the competition itself, though. It'll be pretty obvious where we are to just about anyone watching.)

( Yeah, but when you're not competing you might want to be able to sneak around. )

(...Fair enough. If we don't win the competition, at least then we'll be free to help with whatever plan you settle on.

I'd be willing to lend my sword, if that happens.)

( Hey, swords are great. I'll take whatever we can get. )

(Then if it comes down to that, count me in.)

( That would be me. Sam Wilson, nice to - well. Kind of meet you. I've been chipping and scanning the competitors as they register. )

[He ignores the fact that all of these "mental introductions" feel so foreign to him still.]

(So you think we can use this to our advantage somehow?)

( Can't hurt to know what they know about your competitors, and to know what they've got on you. But if you're really looking for an advantage, man, you should hear some of the stuff they talk about. A couple of them have mentioned what they might be doing and I'm gonna dig around for more, if you want some inside intel. )

( That'd be great! Anything that could tell us what we're going to be dealing with would be really useful! )

(That would be helpful, actually. So far I'm just going in blind, so I'm not going to say no to any kind of advantage you can throw my way.)
