( I need a ride to the station. Someone who can fly the shuttle. )

[The request is in his tone, even if he doesn't extend a please. And before his teammates can weigh in:]

( It'll be a round trip. Can't miss stage three of the alien crazy death show, can we. )

[The last is absolutely dry as a bone.]

[ He's not worried that Murphy will miss out on the upcoming event. He's more worried that Murphy's going back up to the station at all, that the trip feels this necessary for him. ]

( I can come with you. )

( I don't need a babysitter, Bellamy. )

[ Frustration pings at the tail end of the statement. ]

( This can't wait? )

( And I already said, yeah, now. What is this, you just want to hear me repeat myself? )

( I wanted you to tell me this could wait if it had to. )

[ This really isn't the moment for a squabble but Bellamy's worried. He's reacting poorly. ]

[That's practically an insult. Murphy's absolutely capable of putting discomfort and distress aside in order to get on with whatever needs to be done, and Bellamy knows it. But saying as much would be admitting to discomfort and distress, so instead the sentiment has to be restrained to the edges of his mental presence turning cold, cutting.]

( Lucky for me, it doesn't have to. )

[ The link stalls as Bellamy hesitates. He can't stop Murphy from going, and he's as reluctant to press Murphy on his mental state as Murphy is to admit a problem in the first place. ]

( Alright. )

[ Bellamy's reluctance is obvious. ]
