[ Annie's emotion for that statement is raw, unhidden. She's been an addict since her early teens, keeping out anything that might've resembled a real feeling until she'd found herself standing in the ruins of the school she'd been raised in, surrounded by the dead, staring up into the sky where enormous alien bodies continued to slap corpses and blood back into the ground.

There had been a lot of feelings about that. There have been a lot of feelings about all the dead and the lost and what the hell she's supposed to be now. ]

( It doesn't hurt less avoiding it. It just hurts differently. )

[ A deep inhale. ]

( Look, sorry. I shouldn't be all up in your face, it's just what I do. I want to make everything work for everybody pretty much with the force of my mouth. And I get out of hand. If you don't want to meet them, I won't make you, but these missions can be tough and unpredictable. Might be tactical to know a couple people. )
