( I'm just trying to cut time and get to know what people can do, know what I'm working with when the time comes. I'm not the type to follow blindly and hope for the best without a sense of what's going on. )

[Besides, he's already heard enough from Annie how everyone failed, how so many left the few behind. It's not a mistake he wants repeated, despite that he wasn't even here or a part of it.]

( 12 years a soldier, some bit of magic. A lot of my training goes along with both of them. I've got some daemon kills under my belt but I'm not sure how relevant that is around here. )
