( Some of you may have noticed a fire, not too long ago. Or maybe you were busy, fair enough. )

[Shepard's broadcast is just that; open, conversational. Let's have a little chat, all of you. The fire last night burned through a fair portion of the Descendants' dormitory, destroying property and causing distress. Deaths? Don't worry about it. Shepard certainly isn't.]

( I would like to formally take responsibility for that incident. Don't worry, we didn't get caught, this isn't my first time setting fire to something-- no, Sam, it was fine, I had it under control. More to the point, we happened to acquire a bunch of junk, including some tech Pidge has been making good use of-- You're welcome, by the way. ) [This addendum delivered with no particular malice. All the blame and none of the credit, that's how it always goes. ( As for the rest, I have it; decent haul, some of which might be relevant, some of which might just be that I've stolen somebody's junk mail for all I know. )

[ While he disapproves about as much as his royal broodmate, she's clearly taken care of the scolding, and Gildor isn't one to pick fights. He lets it rest, staying focused on the present. ]

( Well, what's done is done. There's no use in wasting whatever leads you may have found, even if they are likely null. My symbiote has granted me the ability to read an object's past. How it was made, who it was owned by, places it has been - that sort of thing. )

( How many items are there? The cost of this ability is more taxing than any magic I've known. If some items are clearly junk and can be set aside for last, that would be better - for time's sake. )

( We got a pretty decent haul. Rani's sorting through it right now, but if you wanna make a judgement call on what you think is the best way to triage it, you're welcome to it. )

[She, of course, has an opinion on the matter, but that's neither here nor there; it's Gildor's energy to spend. The results are what matters most.]

[ Emphasis on the. Throwing a title like 'queen' around like it's her first name feels improper, even if he isn't always perfectly formal with his broodmate either. ]

[What's a god to a nonbeliever, Gildor? Shepard can't help but laugh, presented with the emphasis on that title. The queen? Shepard's met some leaders in her time, most of them much more powerful than their mutual friend, Rani. She's giving Lakshmi no particular disrespect, even now.]

( If you're looking for my opinion... ) [A scenario she finds somewhat dubious, but is willing to hear out] ( ...I've got a shortlist. I'll pass it to you when you get here. )

[ It isn’t so much a matter of formal disrespect as it is grammatical, but Shepard glosses over it. He too allows it to fall to the wayside - there are more important things. ]
