[Which sounds condescending, but Mara legitimately can't think of why a fourteen year old wouldn't have seen combat.]

( If you're distracted looking out for yourself, you won't be slicing as well as you could. That's simple tactics, it has nothing to do with you. I wouldn't ask anyone under my command to do both at once. )

( And trying to piggy-back on someone else's tech skills while fighting won't be just as distracting? )

( 'Piggy-backing' means one less body on the ground of this operation. We already have too many people on the stealth team as it is. )

( Three, possibly more. To give you an idea of the situation, I prefer teams of one. )

( I've done this with six. We were fine. )

( Alien space station and an alien castle. The castle, by the way, was getting ready to take off and full of killer Galra robots. )

( Tell me what the objective was, and your role in the plan. What was the security? How did you get in and out? )

[greentech]

( I was trying to stop the castle from leaving with my friends on it. Security was... basically a bunch of Galra combat droids and some ACTUAL Galra. I mostly used the maintenance crawlspaces... Oh, and holograms. Uh, and I had to overload a control panel to electrocute someone. And shut down the main power source. )

[snaphiss]

( How much prep did you do for this beforehand? And what would have happened if you were caught? )

[greentech]

( Basically none. And they were probably going to kill me and all of my friends. )

[snaphiss]

[Okay, now she just thinks you're lying. Or-] ( You can't always rely on dumb luck, you know. )
