(If you’ve been paying attention, you’d know that Public Security Commissioner Seong-Hye Ngozi has been hiding something. I plan on visiting her office to find out exactly what that is.)

[Images of the office building itself filters through the link, the fruit of prior research and reconnaissance. And the implication is more than clear that this isn’t exactly going to be a scheduled office visit.]

(I’ll need distractions outside of the Public Security offices. Only volunteer if you’re confident that you know what you’re doing.)

[He’s sure questions are on their way, but he’s not willing to entertain them preemptively. Thus, his words end there.]

[ Rey's response is immediate to Bruce's voice in her head — the images of the building, while unfamiliar, spark an interest. She's done enough breaking and entering and pillaging inside fallen Star Destroyers to not know where vulnerabilities in the structure at large might lie. ]

( If you're planning on breaking in, I'm going with you. I've done this quite a bit before; I may be of help. )

[The response of a broodmate instigates immediate attention from Bruce, though it's followed by a cautious hesitation that is impossible to ignore.]

(Define "quite a bit", Rey. )

[While he'll not say as much, he's going to be particularly protective of broodmates, meaning that he'll not think of taking them along on the most precarious part of the mission without due consideration.]

[ Oh hey, look at Grumpy Cat getting stuff done. ]

( Do you know what you're doing? You have this planned out all the way through? )

[Cat? Plz. You must be thinking of someone else.

If Bruce were easily offended, he might be indignant at those questions. But as it stands, they're legitimate concerns for anyone who doesn't know him well.]

(Of course I have.) [He's not a man of impulse. Usually.] (There's been ample planning put into this, but reaching out to the rest of the Nest for those who could help is still necessary.)

[There are still angles that need hammering out, and to ignore the swath of abilities and experiences surrounding them would be foolish.]

( And by "visiting", I take it you don't have an appointment. )

[This seems like a terrible idea, given everything that's happened. The fact that Rey has already chimed in reinforces that feeling. Nobody among them was particularly subtle, and what Bruce is proposing is espionage.

Ahsoka's thoughts translate as much.]

(That's right.) [Her schedule was full, comes the ring of dry sarcasm, echoing through his thoughts, but Bruce curbs it from projecting too much.

Ahsoka wouldn't be wrong; it certainly was espionage. She probably wouldn't be wrong to be skeptical either, to be fair. But Bruce (and Mara) have done their research, their planning, and now he's reaching out as a way to gather the final pieces.

He doesn't add much more; he waits patiently for the questions.]

[ Sam still had mixed feelings about the mission at large, but he also has a feeling between distractions and tech opportunities, the teenagers in his brood will be all over this. And breaking and entering is right up Clint's spy alley.

He's maybe a little bit protective, but there's no way he won't be there to watch their backs. Might as well volunteer early. ]

( What were you planning on for the initial approach? Back way, fire escape, walk on in with a disguise while everyone's distracted?

If you're going rooftoop, I can get you up quick and quiet. And I can provide a speedy exit if you need one, I used to do a lot of infiltration and extraction back home. )

[An early volunteer is what Bruce is looking for; he doesn't plan on everyone being 100 percent on board with this, but those who are willing to help to make their attempts more solid, to run smoother... This is exactly why he reached out.]

(Potential disguises, and if we can manage a quick and quiet entry -- rooftop or otherwise -- that would work for the best.)

(Exactly how would you plan on getting us up there?)

The last time we tried something like this, the group was almost caught. My broodmate got hurt, too.

[ He remembers seeing Angel, the night of the explosion. She wasn't at the arena, but she still strained herself trying to break into Ven. Aoba doesn't want to see her like that again. ]

I don't know much about... well, breaking and entering, since that's what this is... but what are you doing to make sure no one's caught this time?

[He expected questions like this; it would almost be disappointing to not hear wheedlings of concern coming from the rest of the Nest, especially given past experiences. Bruce responds almost as if he's prepared for it.]

(The group going in is small, with experience in stealth and espionage. As always, planning and preparation is key, and I can promise you that there hasn't been a lack of that).

[But he won't promise the moon. He can't preemptively say that everything will go as planned, because he knows from experience alone that isn't always how it works.]

[He answers a question with a question.] (Have you figured out if this world's security is something you can crack? I imagine the systems are different than what you're usually used to.)

(The option of having a quick exit for either us or the group on the ground would be wise, but do you have access to an aircraft?)

( I was under the impression that this would be a much smaller operation. Where do distractions come into play when many of our faces are already known? )

[If these words give away the sense that Lexa is irritated, she is definitely irritated.]

[Someone else's irritation has little personal effect on Bruce, but he's not so ignorant to not understand why others may show due concern. Still, his reply is unwavering.]

(The infiltration team is small. And if you're worried about Sam and his brand of distraction, he's made it clear to me that he won't be recognized.)
