[Though it may be the first time that Bruce has reached out to everyone mentally, there’s no hesitation in how quickly his voice permeates in other hosts’ heads. As with most things, the man gets right to it — besides, this isn’t exactly being done for the sake of pleasantries.

(If you’ve been paying attention, you’d know that Public Security Commissioner Seong-Hye Ngozi has been hiding something. I plan on visiting her office to find out exactly what that is.)

[Images of the office building itself filters through the link, the fruit of prior research and reconnaissance. And the implication is more than clear that this isn’t exactly going to be a scheduled office visit.]

( If we didn't share a link, I wouldn't be reassured. But I have no reason to believe you're lying.

But you'll recall we disagreed before because your methods involved submitting to someone else's demands without offering any solutions to the problem Ilde faced. )

[It's not that Lexa can't see why a distraction could help. But she had certainly believed it to be a much smaller operation. With so many moving pieces and people offering to help (and even with them arguing amongst themselves), she can't help but doubt.

The same number of moving pieces had been a problem before. And they haven't shown themselves to be terribly reliable at working together. If they were her warriors, she would offer them her trust and believe they could carry out something this convoluted.

But they aren't.]

( If that's what you got from our last conversation, you need to check your attention to detail. I proposed a meeting with Ilde's contact, I made sure I'd be present for the meeting and used it to leverage information on her contact's organization. I don't submit. I like my options open, but I don't submit. )

[Said with a fair amount of vehemence. Hit a sore spot there, Lexa.]

[She doesn't even bother to conceal that she's intrigued by this sore spot. Mark that down on the "weaknesses" list. At the same time, it leads her to wonder how this woman is handling her place in the Nest. She is proactive and involved unlike Parker, but she reveals the very weakness that this Nest takes advantage of in others.

She'll have to see as she has more opportunities to have those answers reveal themselves to her.

Still: Lexa is not wont to admit she made a mistake in abandoning the discussions with Ilde and Mara after her verbal altercations with both. So, she simply doesn't acknowledge it.]

( You should consider how you present yourself. You seemed all too eager to appear reckless in my eyes. ) [And therefore not deserving of further consideration (IE it's Mara's fault that Lexa didn't think she had anything useful to say, even if her suggestion as she's stating it now was exactly that).]

[Lexa is shouting down no one. But she does see the inherent flaws in this plan, ones that are latent in part because she's seen how the Nest works. Perhaps it will function better, but given that there's an argument at hand elsewhere, she's not convinced.]

( I care that you made any kind of organization between us impossible. )

( I was speaking with Bruce. He knows my concerns with our past infiltration. )

[From her perspective, this is a matter of shifting blame.]

( I'm not getting into this again. In the future, when you have a problem with something that's being done, offer solutions, or come up with your own plan. I'm sick of hearing your voice in my head doing nothing but complaining. )

( Many things in motion are in place because of my actions and decisions. My complaints don't come from a place of complaining for no reason.

[What goes away first: that smug sense of superiority, or the link itself? It might be hard to tell, but Lexa certainly has no need to continue this conversation.]
