[ Fatigue is the clearest sense that bleeds through when she opens the link, but it's not dwelled upon, just an old bedfellow grown familiar. In contrast, Misato tries her darndest to seem nothing but determined, confident, enthused. It's not a lie if she also believes it. ]

( Hey everyone. We've found a few things we can use to our advantage.

First, if you want to pander to the judges' preferences, you should go colorful, electric, violent, sexy and loud. It's no time to be shy. Miss Mystery hates forest green and wears shoes dipped in liquid metal. Saldo Saldo likes soft vore, shiny and over-the-top body modifs and, uhm, transformations, like ugly duckling turning into a swan stuff. Now Talius Rex loves exotic pets, the more human-like the better, exploit that, he also likes cute things and dressing them and himself up. You may have seen his pets around . . .

Sam has also found that the chips the competitors wear are tracking their vitals, location and they act as credit cards. We may be able to use this. I know we've got a few tech-savvy people out there.

Lastly, I've got some experience choreographing giant weapons, so talk to me if you want help with that.

[ A new host, Annie's haphazard at best at communicating telepathically. It was difficult for her, to pull her disparate pieces and parts together enough to make one voice. It reply warbles at the edges, eerie and unformed. ]

[ Was that what she sounded like at the beginning? There's a mental wince of embarrassment as she recalls herself being new and young. ]

[ There's something a little uncomfortable about Annie, overall. She's a sprawling thing, on the inside, creepy crawly seeping in through the cracks, invasive; all eyes and strange appendages. Misato isn't of her brood, that spares her some discomfort, but being another woman gives Annie's attention to her a sharpness. She dismisses men as things of import, not like women. ]

( Oh baby, let me tell you how fuckin' colorful I am. Don't think I got the right parts for vore though, we gotta rent an alien for that bit? )

[ There's an obvious humor there, but it also echoes hollow. Once upon a time, Annie probably could have made the kind of disgusting shit this judge was down for happen, all on her own. But the portal in her chest is sealed shut. The monsters inside her -- that are her, and the world that she's tied to -- can no longer penetrate.

But they do linger on inside of her, slimy in their bemusement, unsubtle in their attention, cawing in their madness. The inside of Annie's mind is something else, something more than just new. ]

[ It's hilarious, really, how seriously she's taking all this despite the sheer strangeness of the entire competition. ]

[ And why tell stories when you can show? She shows Shepard a dance of the giants, complete with music, seen from a massive screen over a command center. Snippets of the parts she can recall from memory, ending with a bang. ]

[ You see, the trick is in refusing to entertain the idea of defeat. It's easier to maintain the verisimilitude that way. ]

[ There's. A very long pause on her end. It's funny, how her first instinct is to find this morally reprehensible before her rational mind takes over. What's a little murder? ]

[Lexa is fairly restrained in her emotions ... as always, but there's still a sense of strong distaste and disapproval. She refuses to guide Bellamy (or anyone else) down a path like that.]

( Katie-- Pidge found where they keep the prizes. So robbery is an option. I'd try anything, really. We just don't have a plan right now. )

[ Misato is notorious at playing favorites. She may have gone down hard on others giving even the slightest hint of hesitation, but this is Beth. That's self-explanatory. ]

( I never asked, did you ever figure out the ability the Nest gave you? )

[Well, that's certainly an introduction to... honestly, he can't even begin process half of what was just said directly into his mind by someone he's never met. So he's not going to try.

He can respond to what he did understand, at least. Sort of.]
