[ there's plenty enough of responses offering for distractions and infiltrations. there's also an undercurrent of worry as people talk, and giorno figures that he might as well help this way. ]

[ the pictures come slowly, like in a video reel. giorno is taking pains to be as accurate and visceral as he possibly can in presenting the memory, so that mara will understand:

giorno falling from a ledge, bits and pieces of his body cubed and removed from him, bleeding from an empty eye, an empty throat where a cube-shaped hole is gushing blood down the field -

( it breaks humans into pieces, turns them into different materials, recomposes them - )

pain. the initial transmission of which was sharp and sudden, and then, it abruptly stops - giorno clamping on that experience before it affects mara too much.

a rock transforming into an eye transforming to fit around the face -

- filling the gaps as it stretches around the cube-shaped hole, the bleeding from his throat gone, his eye good as new. giorno doesn't flinch anymore - he is too used to the process - but one can get the sense that it is painful, the way the skin shifts, the way the bones accommodate the newest intrusion until it is part of the body again. one gets the sense that it takes time, but with the way the images are shown, it seems to happen as he breathes.

in all this, mara will grasp a name: gold experience. not a part of the symbiote that rests within giorno, but it is part of himself. with the name comes warmth - a kind of warmth that can easily burn, spreading across the mind like choking vines.

the memory stops after the sensation of gold, whispering as it retreats from her mind. giorno is slow as he draws away, unused to the effort of sharing. ]

( I can do it to others as well. Although I've never tried it on anything beyond human biology - I imagine it'd be different where cyborgs are concerned. Or other species, for that matter. )

[Far from disgusted, Mara is fascinated. She was raised to find such technology exciting, filled with possibilities.]

( How does this technology work? Do you always use it for healing? )

[She finds that doubtful, considering all the ways she would use it if she could.]

[ he finds it weird that people can see his stand here despite not having their own stands. usually that means trouble, but he figures that the shared nature of the symbiotes makes it possible. a convenience, but one giorno is very selfish in revealing - his stand makes him unique, and he values it greatly. ]

( It's not normally for healing, though it worked out to be just fine for all kinds of medical emergencies. Better than relying on a stapler in a pinch.

[ though giorno is doubtful as to whether or not that explanation is accurate - he's only had his stand for a couple of months, and most of the people in passione had had their stands drawn out of them by force.

as for its uses, he actually has to think about that. he belongs to the mafia - passione - back home. he's used to killing for the sake of the famiglia. but then again, giorno is also a traitor and a liar to his enemies and friends in that regard. ]

( It depends. Gold Experience is a defensive Stand, and powerful enough on its own. I protect my friends with it. )

( So it can heal and protect. What are the stipulations? Do you have to be nearby? Is the process painful? )

( My range is terrible. I have to touch the other person. Apparently it's painful, but I'm used to it. I've gone through amputations and plagues with my Stand.

I don't necessarily need to be protected - I can defend myself well enough - but people are worried about the mission since there've been considerable losses on our side. It's an option, should anyone need more healers on-site. )

( I would agree, but we can't have any more people at the site of the break-in. I'd prefer it if you were on standby at a secure location. )

( I'm fine with that. We don't want a big crowd, after all. Especially with a crowd that is too eager to sink their teeth into something.

[Nothing focuses Mara like a mission. Offering help, especially useful help, is the quickest possible way to get her to cooperate short of being named 'Sheev'.]

( I'll be on the stealth team. It may be best for you to ride along in our getaway vehicle. Could you work under those conditions? )

( I can. Do you need a driver as well? Or do you already have one? )

[ he doesn't have a license, but he used to be a taxi driver of ill repute around naples, so there's also that. ]

[He doesn't have to ask for experience; Mara's already got that covered, it appears. And the memory that he's shared with her leaks over to his own, partially because he allows it to. He wants to know as well, even if that begrudgingly means accepting another host's offered images, even briefly.

The imagery is a little disturbing, but Bruce seems relatively unaffected. That kind of healing would be useful for many kinds of missions, not just this one. He makes sure to note it in his head.]

(Your abilities from home.) [It's a statement, not a question. Those are obviously not symbiote abilities, and it sparks Bruce's interest.] (It looks painful.)

On the other hand, there is also the symbiote, and I don't know what it does, or how it affects my Stand. Not yet, anyway.

For now, I would say that where injuries are concerned, the sooner they are brought to my attention, the better. If you want to know whether or not I can revive the dead, the answer to that is quite simple: I don't want to find out. Stands are capable of so many things; people are also capable of many things. The will to survive can be a dangerous thing. )

( As for range, it is a closed-range humanoid Stand. I'll have to touch the injured person in order to heal them. )
