MENTAL LINK.
[Though it may be the first time that Bruce has reached out to everyone mentally, there’s no hesitation in how quickly his voice permeates in other hosts’ heads. As with most things, the man gets right to it — besides, this isn’t exactly being done for the sake of pleasantries.
Straight to business then:]
(If you’ve been paying attention, you’d know that Public Security Commissioner Seong-Hye Ngozi has been hiding something. I plan on visiting her office to find out exactly what that is.)
[Images of the office building itself filters through the link, the fruit of prior research and reconnaissance. And the implication is more than clear that this isn’t exactly going to be a scheduled office visit.]
(I’ll need distractions outside of the Public Security offices. Only volunteer if you’re confident that you know what you’re doing.)
[He’s sure questions are on their way, but he’s not willing to entertain them preemptively. Thus, his words end there.]
((ooc; this is the post for your character to ICly offer themselves to help with the break-in plot. (As detailed here.) Note that while Bruce might not find everyone’s credentials compelling, that won’t stop your character from coordinating with others if they want. He's not your supervisor!!!
Therefore, threadjacking is highly encouraged so all characters can sort out their plotting together!)

But if nobody's going to provide us with a getaway car, well. A parking lot makes a fine catalogue. )

( I have plenty. I mostly specialize in 21st century cars. Concordian vehicles are something else entirely - so much of their lives are tied to technology, after all - but not entirely impossible.
As for personal experience, I used to relieve tourists of their luggage back in my hometown for pocket money. Misappropriating vehicles was my summer job. )
[ he was also the driver for his former team.
then again, if shiro finds a car in the first place, then there wouldn't be any need to steal things .... ]
( Just another option for us. )

[Music to her ears, dude.]
( What kind of 'cars' are 21st century? )

[ this next tidbit is for mara only. PUTS MENTAL FENCES - NO BRUCE ALLOWED or anyone else for that matter - as best as he can - ]
( If it's of any interest to you, there is a market for retrofitted goods in Subspace. So long as the devices are wiped of their identifying registration and other IDs, they'd be willing to pay for almost anything.
A vehicle is bigger than a handheld device, but we'll need a way to get rid of it once we have borrowed one.
Assuming, of course, that we won't have one legally. But like I said: options. If we go this route, however, you're gonna have to convince our tech to do the actual wipe. )

( It's an option, and a good one. You've done good work. If we go this route, I'll make sure you get the credit. )
[Because He's Earned It.]
( I take it you have experience in this arena? )

[ as for that, well - ]
( Something like that. Times were hard back home, etcetera, etcetera. Nothing interesting. )

(Let's avoid grand theft auto unless absolutely necessary.) [Or unless absolutely certain you're not going to get caught, is the rest of what hangs in the air there.]
(Shiro is going to look into getting a vehicle for now.)

( But you wanted to know my skills, so I'm putting that option on the table as well. Best of luck to Shiro. )

(Thanks, I think.)
(We haven't met yet. But if all else fails, I'll let you know?)

And that's fine. I look forward to working with you too. )

[Since being around her is easier than strangers, sometimes. What with their brains connected and all.]
(Hopefully this goes smoothly and we both learn something.)
[The unspoken promise being, if he needs to learn to hotwire a fancy space car, he'll show off how to drive it.]

Trust in us. In them. A bit of optimism doesn't hurt. )

[A pause.]
(... Kidding. But. I guess I'm more used to 'anything that can go wrong will' than anything.)
no subject
[ but he'll hold off scolding him for now. ]
( Being overly cautious isn't going to help us succeed. We have the intelligence and we have the will. That doesn't necessarily mean that both will be enough to carry us through. But we should walk in with confidence, either way.
And yes, that also applies to stealing vehicles of any kind. If you don't walk to that space Lamborghini like it belongs in your hand, we'll never be able to make that getaway. ) [ he is The Worst Motivator ]

( Alright.
If you run into trouble, let us know. I'm not sure how soon they want this going, but hopefully they gave you enough time to figure things out. )

(Not much time, but I'm used to operating on deadlines.)
['Legal' in only the strictest sense -- money changing hands. People are always looking to unload their car for whatever reason.]
[If it ends up being a piece of junk, well. That's what all the mechanically inclined people here are for.]

[ totally. giorno would prefer fancy, luxurious cars, but that's because he's a douchebag italian at worst. ]
