[ Hello everyone, here's a gentle knock or nudge on your mental doors. It's as polite and crisp as the person behind it– Hux is never one to overlook formalities, regardless of the fact that everyone is linked in the brain. So once he's relatively certain he has most people's attention, he'll get more to the point. ]
( If I have interrupted your activities, I do apologize. However, I have something I would like to pass across to the rest of you should it be of interest.
Considering the growth of the Nest that we've experienced, it may benefit us to begin coordinating efforts and communication on a larger scale.
I realize this may seem redundant when taking the mindlink into account, but for those who are newer or those who do not have as much of a handle on their newfound powers, it could be helpful. Moreover, the progress we've made collectively on this mission could be pushed with more cohesive organization. )
[ Does it sound like he's practiced this? He probably has. Anyone who might be familiar with him would recognize the speechifying. ]
( All in all, I believe this group is rather talented and driven, just lacking on the communication aspect. If you've input on any of these points, I would be glad to hear them. )
[ ooc: Hux is essentially seeing if people want to share power descriptions so it makes it easier for other characters to tap people for missions! This is completely optional. He'll also be making notes and probably being nosy I mean checking in on broods re: temperature checks. Feel free to volunteer if you want dad Hux to bother your character about their feelings about the nest : ) ]

( Some people can't follow orders to save their lives. Your goal is ambitious, but it might be best to limit your reach. )

No, and that's to be accounted for. At the very least the effort is to be made. I hesitate to say that gathering thirty people under the same roof will be easy, but after being charged with a crew close to ninety-thousand, it may be less of an enormous obstacle. )

( It's a worthwhile goal all the same. I wonder if you can manage it without all of us melting into a group of husks. )

Some officers methods conflict directly with my own. Waste not.
Time will tell. Should I be thanking you for the vote of confidence? )

[It's hard to think of this man as some First Order and not the Empire she lost and left. With that, Mara realizes Hux could have never met Vader. Lucky man. But he probably won't get the reference that would have been obvious to anyone high ranking in the Imperial Fleet, then, will he?]
[She wonders how much Jacen is like his grandfather.]
( You can thank me all you like. Or be helpful and tell me what you're planning. )

[ He's a strangling type, sorry Mara. Taking after granddad's legacy to a t. ]
( Now why would I leave you out of the loop? Essentially, I've laid most everything out. This group is disorganized at best, chaotic at worst. Not many want to talk to each other, despite being mentally connected. The arguments that seem to break out on the regular have given me enough headaches to last a lifetime.
As much as it rankles to be more open, that's exactly what we need here. )

[But she can't hide the haze of approval that shades over the idea.]
( What do you suggest telling them? )
no subject
[ However small, he's glad for the approval. ]
( For now, simply getting them to understand why communication is important. Especially in regards to our newfound powers– it could get us all out of a critical situation if we have awareness. If they want to bond over trivial things afterwards, that will just count as a pleasant side effect.
I know there are a few that would bristle at being told what to do, so leaving it to suggestion and allowing them to see the benefit may work best here. )

[Heavy with the irony, there.]
( A light touch is clever, but slow going. Are you willing to wait around for it? )
no subject
[ So many did. She can fill in the blanks. ]
( It's a better option than pushing the fold and breaking the tenuous trust or respect. I'm willing to wait for results; long term planning is my specialty. My only concern is that our mission won't wait for results. ]
no subject
[An odd thought, to be sure.]
( But your strategy suits the Nest far better. )
no subject
Results can come in many forms. Long term planning tends to bear the best fruit, though the strategy should be changeable based on the current situation. )
[ Spoken like a true tactician. ]
( We'll see how it fares. I'd be glad to have your assistance, if you're willing to be another set of ears. )

[Yet.]

[ Welp. ]
