It's as polite and crisp as the person behind it– Hux is never one to overlook formalities, regardless of the fact that everyone is linked in the brain. So once he's relatively certain he has most people's attention, he'll get more to the point. ]

Considering the growth of the Nest that we've experienced, it may benefit us to begin coordinating efforts and communication on a larger scale.

I realize this may seem redundant when taking the mindlink into account, but for those who are newer or those who do not have as much of a handle on their newfound powers, it could be helpful. Moreover, the progress we've made collectively on this mission could be pushed with more cohesive organization. )

( All in all, I believe this group is rather talented and driven, just lacking on the communication aspect. If you've input on any of these points, I would be glad to hear them. )

[Rather than sharing publicly, her response is private—if only because she's been working on this since their conversation a while ago, albeit on a lesser scale. Given how certain individuals (read: Mara and Ilde) have responded to being directed, she is less than encouraged by some of her results.

[ Hopefully that's what Hux's fancy lingo means. Aoba has to agree - they've been pretty disjointed with so many hosts coming and going, himself included. This mission has already taken much longer than their last one, which was... also a mess. And they've lost a host in each. He's mentioned his abilities to a few hosts, but laying everything out on the table is bound to do some collective good. ]

No, and that's to be accounted for. At the very least the effort is to be made. I hesitate to say that gathering thirty people under the same roof will be easy, but after being charged with a crew close to ninety-thousand, it may be less of an enormous obstacle. )

( It might be best to coordinate with another host that has either similar powers or complementary ones to aid with training and discovery. At this point, we seem to know relatively little about each other in that regard, so any solid planning is on hold until there's more information.

Ideally, the plan would be assisting each other in sparring courses or even the mental equivalent for some. There's a lesser chance of us being pigeon-holed by an outside force the better we understand our own group's strength. ]

( I'm more concerned about the personalization aspect than the rounds of duty, currently. Things can be organized to make up for lack, for the most part.

Some officers methods conflict directly with my own. Waste not.

Um... alright. Well, you already know I'm better with tech than anything else, but... not as good as most everyone else here.

[ Considering what incredible tech geniuses some of the other hosts are, he hardly feels like he can contribute his skills in a meaningful way. But his psychic skills, as weird and destructive as they are, might be more useful to put out there. ]

As for abilities, I can influence and control people with the sound of my voice, emotionally and physically. I can also insert my consciousness into another person's mind.

When I do that, it's... kind of like entering another world that's all about that person. I can see their memories, their fears, pretty much everything. And I can destroy parts of their mind.

Or... all of it.

I-I should mention, I haven't used it on anyone here! I only know about it because I've had this power my whole life, though I haven't always been aware of it. The symbiote just... gave me some more control over it. I think.

( Now why would I leave you out of the loop? Essentially, I've laid most everything out. This group is disorganized at best, chaotic at worst. Not many want to talk to each other, despite being mentally connected. The arguments that seem to break out on the regular have given me enough headaches to last a lifetime.

As much as it rankles to be more open, that's exactly what we need here. )

I would not be so presumptuous to assign responsibility to anyone. However, I can compile a list of volunteers who would feel comfortable in assisting others with those sorts of details. )

[ As much as he loves leading and misses being a general, that's not going to fly here with so many independent personalities. Still, constructing a list of those who are adept with the more mental pressures and those who would like to learn more is less likely to step on toes. Those who want to learn can elect who they would like to learn from on their own time. ]

( For now, simply getting them to understand why communication is important. Especially in regards to our newfound powers– it could get us all out of a critical situation if we have awareness. If they want to bond over trivial things afterwards, that will just count as a pleasant side effect.

I know there are a few that would bristle at being told what to do, so leaving it to suggestion and allowing them to see the benefit may work best here. )

it comes down to semantics in the end: volunteers vs. assignments - whomever feels up to the task ought to be encouraged to partake. nobody within the hive seems to take well to old leaders and commanders and generals taking up their reins and telling them where to go and what to do. suggestions and requests for mutual input is more apropos nowadays. ]

( I believe yourself and Commander Lexa should be on that list. There are others, of course, but you two are proven.

As for volunteering, in general - I am an old hand at training others for combat. )
